All About Alex

Alex is a master of disguises. She once told me that she doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up because she wants to do sooo many things. She is a mother hen. Where ever we go she takes on the little kids and they follow her around like ducklings. She is also extremely inquisitive. She wants to be a chef...she even hosts her own show. Come over sometime to see her work...you might be able to be her assistant.

Alex's Favorites:

singing and dancing

Food Network

Now, he wants to be a "Duh-tective." Gavin wants to learn how to cook. He is a good helper in the kitchen. He is a Mama's Boy big time. What a great kid!

All About Heather

I am a first grade teacher and I LOVE it. Teaching is such a challenging job. Have you ever heard the saying, "Everything I learned, I learned in Kindergarten?" Well, as a teacher, I can say, everything I learn was from the Kindergarteners. They are a crazy bunch of kids. It's amazing to see how their young minds learn, work, form and create. I have worked with the best Kindergarten and First grade teams ever.

I am a mother of two AMAZING and rather trying kids. Alex is 8 1/2, or as she likes to tell you, "I'm almost 9 years old." She is interested in Everything. Gavin is 6 1/2 and is in love with the remote and talking incessently.

This April, I have been married to a Gary for 13 years. Silly, I keep thinking lately that we've been married longer than Lucy and Ricky. My silly mind goes in too many wierd places sometimes. We met at Club Metro on August 11, 1995 and were married at The Little White Wedding Chapel on the Strip in Las Vegas on April 20, 1997.

My Favorites:
color: blue
book: Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor
drink: water
food: tacos and cheese
songs: Somebody by Depeche Mode, Save a Prayer by Duran Duran
movies: Raising Helen, Becoming Jane, Stealing Home, Pride and Prejudice
places: home and Disneyland

My Hates:
snakes
wet socks
mean people
dirty hands

Our Crazy Life

Alex played the part of George Washington's mother in her third grade performance. Gavin's first grade performance went well too. He was asked to be Uncle Sam, but declined. He told me later that he liked where he was standing...next to the beautiful girl in his class that he's in love with.

We are all busy right now with school, work, and extracurricular activities. Being a teacher is a never-ending job. Gary often teases me about being off all the time, but hates that I am always working. He even defended my "teacher" honor at lunch one day. I love you babe.

Along with working full time, Gary is coaching 2 baseball teams (Pony-Blue Jays and Pinto 7-Orioles) and playing co-ed softball along with being on the Cherry Festival committee. I got roped into being the team mom for Gavin's baseball team. Alex is in chorus at school but thinks that the silly songs they are singing are a bit too silly for her.
